Digital Marketing for Educational Institutions

Receiving learners to your institution and celebrating their success is further enabled by marketing, particularly digital marketing. 

 

The focus is upon gaining a view on how marketing works in principle, its value and the practical role of digital marketing to share messages and communicate with potential learners, learner groups and stakeholders.

Objectives

The aim of this course is to provide an overview of digital marketing. You will find out about:

  • Principles of Marketing Theory, which includes:

    • How and why markets are segmented

    • The value of marketing, including the importance of branding

    • The impact of socially responsible marketing

    • Principles of Digital Marketing, which includes

    • What is the role of digital marketing

    • How to make use of search engine optimisation (SEO)

    • The requirements of marketing research using the internet

    • The uses of digital marketing devices and messages

    • How to use digital technology for marketing purposes

Methodology

 

Our courses, developed in the framework established by the Erasmus+ Programme, are crafted to include both formal and non-formal education methodologies. Starting with a theoretical approach to the theme of the course, we proceed with non-formal learning strategies in order to guarantee and stimulate an active contribution from the participants involved. In practice, we use: Presentations; Analysis of study cases; Discussions in the classroom; Role-plays; Technical visits to local private and public institutions; Conferences with local professionals to exchange good practices; Job shadowing experiences; Workshops to rethink old practices and introduce new ones.

Preparation

Prior to the start of the course, participants will receive a detailed programme outlining the content and structure of the course, as well as recommended reading and viewing material relevant to the course contents. They will also receive practical information about Wolverhampton, including maps, places of interest and accommodation.
